Which color service fits you?

Most men want one of two things: a little less gray, or no gray at all. Lighter looks take more time and are quoted at a consultation.

Make your color last

Before your appointment

  • No need to wash your hair that day
  • Tell us about box dye, henna or past color
  • Let us know about sensitive skin or past reactions to hair dye
  • Bring a photo of the shade you want

After your appointment

  • Wait about 48 hours before shampooing
  • Use a color-safe, sulfate-free shampoo
  • Blondes: purple shampoo once a week to keep it cool
  • Book roots every 4–6 weeks

Gray blending vs. full coverage

Gray blending tones down part of the gray so you keep some salt-and-pepper. It's subtle, grows out softly and is the best first step if you're unsure. Full coverage at the roots removes visible gray completely in a natural dark shade. Both start at $65 and take about 55 minutes.

Choosing the shade

We go slightly lighter than your darkest natural hair, not darker. Dark brown hair gets a soft dark brown, not black. That one choice is the difference between “looks rested” and “dyed his hair.”

Beard and temples

Gray often shows first at the temples and in the beard. Tell us if you want the temples softened but not erased — many clients like a little gray there. If your beard is grayer than your hair, mention it at the consultation so the two don't clash.

Going lighter or platinum

Blonde and platinum looks need lightener and a toner, and take more time than a root touch-up. We plan them at a consultation, check your hair's condition and quote before starting. Short cuts like a textured crop or a taper show platinum best.

Upkeep

  • Roots show after about 4–6 weeks; book touch-ups on that rhythm.
  • Wait 48 hours before shampooing, then use a color-safe shampoo.
  • Book a haircut the same day so the cut and color are planned together.
FAQ

Men's color questions

How much is men's hair color?

A root touch-up in natural dark shades is $65 and takes about 55 minutes. Lightening and platinum looks are priced at a consultation.

Will it look natural?

That’s the goal. We choose a shade close to your natural color and avoid flat, solid coverage, so it reads as healthy hair rather than dye.

What is gray blending?

Gray blending softens gray instead of covering all of it, so you keep some natural salt-and-pepper and the regrowth is less obvious.

How long does the color last?

The color itself lasts, but new growth shows at the roots after about 4–6 weeks. Most clients book a touch-up on that schedule.

Can I get a haircut the same day?

Yes. Book the color and a haircut back to back, or ask when you book and we’ll plan the timing.
