Keratin Treatment in Downtown LA

A keratin treatment means less frizz, more shine and a blow dry that takes half the time. Keratin smooths the hair’s surface so it behaves in LA heat — and lasts for months, not days.

How keratin works

  1. Step 01

    Consult

We check your hair’s condition and color history and confirm the price for your length.

  2. Step 02

    Wash

A clarifying wash so the treatment can bond evenly.

  3. Step 03

    Apply

Keratin is applied section by section and left to process.

  4. Step 04

    Seal

Blow dry and flat iron seal the smoothing into the hair.

Aftercare

Make your keratin last

First days

  • Follow your stylist’s timing before the first wash
  • Keep hair down and straight — no tight ties or clips
  • Avoid sweat-heavy workouts and steam
  • Tuck it behind your ears, not in a ponytail

Long term

  • Sulfate-free, salt-free shampoo
  • Limit chlorine and salt water
  • Low-heat styling — it dries faster now
  • Book again when frizz returns

Who it's for

Frizzy, puffy or coarse hair; hair that takes 45 minutes to blow-dry; waves you'd like to soften. If you love your curls, a smoothing treatment isn't for you — it relaxes them. Ask about our 40-minute hair treatment instead, a deep conditioning service that doesn't change texture.

Price and time by length

Short hair is $100 (about 2 hours). Mid length is $250 (about 2 hr 30 min). Thick mid-length hair above the shoulder is $350 (about 3 hr 30 min). Long hair is $400 (about 4 hr 30 min). The final price is confirmed at the consultation.

Color and keratin

Color first, keratin second. Smoothing seals the cuticle, so color applied afterwards doesn't take as well. If you're planning highlights or color, book them a few days before.

How long it lasts

Typically a few months. Sulfate-free shampoo, fewer washes and less chlorine and salt water all extend it. When frizz starts to return, it's time to book again.

FAQ

Keratin questions

How much is a keratin treatment?

$100 for short hair, $250 for mid length, $350 for thick mid-length (above the shoulder) and $400 for long hair.

How long does keratin last?

Typically a few months, depending on your hair and how often you wash it.

Will keratin make my hair completely straight?

It removes frizz and makes straightening much faster. Very curly hair usually keeps some wave.

What is the $150 hair treatment?

A 40-minute deep conditioning and repair service for dry or damaged hair — not a smoothing treatment.
